About John

I earned my undergraduate degree in political science with honors, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Richmond. Furthering my education, I attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Tulane University's Freeman School of Business, achieving membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society.

In 2013, I authored the book "A Manual on Common Stock Investing," and since then, I've contributed numerous articles and interviews on business analysis and investment strategies. Notably, I received the Freeman School of Business Rising Tide Award, an annual recognition presented to a standout graduate of the Burkenroad Equity Research Program, acknowledging their exceptional contributions to the investment community.

My professional journey includes nearly nine years of dedicated service at The Motley Fool, where I held roles as a senior equity analyst, portfolio lead, and Head of Analyst Training and Development. Today, I continue to pursue my passion as an analyst, investor, writer, and podcaster, sharing insights and knowledge in the world of finance and investing.
